What is Small Group Training (SGT)?

SGT is limited to no more than 8 people with 1 Coach. SGT is designed to provide more individualized instruction for each member. Your Coach will customize the workouts based on your fitness level, exercise experience and goals.  Programs may include an assessment. They are crafted to help you progress safely toward your fitness goals. You will also learn proper form in order to build strength & endurance and increase mobility and flexibility safely. You can expect to receive more individualized attention while experiencing motivating & inspiring support from your group and coach.

Registration: Registration for Training sessions are limited to Foothills Area YMCA members.

Please review the Small Group Training Member Agreement before completing your program registration.

Fit and Fabulous is a high-accountability, small-group training program designed for people who want to build real strength, lose weight sustainably, and feel confident in their bodies again. Meeting three times a week, this program combines expert coaching, personalized attention, and a supportive community to help you make long-lasting changes.
What’s Included:
– Two Weekly Strength Sessions (In the Gym) Working side-by-side with a certified coach as you learn to lift weights safely and effectively. Each session focuses on building total-body strength improving mobility, and increasing muscle-the key driver of a faster metabolism. Workouts are tailored to individual ability levels, so beginners and returning lifters are  supported
– One Weekly Coaching Session (Classroom Setting)
Join your group for a practical, judgment-free conversation on nutrition and behavior change. You’ll learn how to fuel your body for energy and fat loss, how to build habits that stick, and how to navigate real-life challenges like stress, time constraints, and cravings. No fad diets-just clear, realistic strategies you can actually use

In a small group environment, you will engage in an exercise program that improves overall stability and mobility of the body, by incorporating movements to strengthen and enhance range of motion, balance, and other elements for daily activities.

A full body workout with a combination of super sets and single exercises with a focus on improving strength.

Although the full body will be worked, a muscle group will be the focal point of each workout. We will address special needs and discuss and plan against individual goals.
