#Healthyhabits Challenge 2026
FREE, 8-week Challenge for our Members
January 5-March 1
Every New Year brings the promise of change through resolutions, but they often fizzle out.
The Y offers support in achieving your goals with a FREE 8-week challenge, aiming to cultivate manageable, healthy routines. Whether aiming to lose weight, boost energy, or prevent chronic illnesses like diabetes and heart disease, fostering healthier habits is the key to success.
Each week, you’ll track healthy habits using our free tracker. Turn in your points every week to be eligible for our weekly drawings!
Here’s how to get started:
- Register for the FREE #HealthyHabits Challenge
- If you’re not a Foothills Area YMCA member, join today.
- Download the #HealthyHabits tracker forms below or grab a printed copy at the front desk.
- Keep an eye on your email for weekly challenges!
- Submit your tracker form at the front desk by 7:00 pm on Monday evenings each week to qualify for prizes. Winners will be drawn from participants who submit points on Tuesday mornings!
- The top 3 members with the highest points at the challenge’s conclusion, submitting tracking sheets for all 8 weeks, will receive $100, $50, and $25 in program credit, applicable to swim lessons, youth sports, personal training, and more. (Program credits can only be used for programs, not membership dues.)

Weekly challenges (View all here):
- Week 1 (Monday, January 5-Sunday, January 11): Take a Strength Class–Eligible classes include Bodypump, Fullbody Fit, Forever Fit, Functional, Total Body Strength, TRX, and Senior Strength
- Week 2 (Monday, January 12-Sunday, January 18): Take an Aquatics Class or Lap Swim
- Week 3 (Monday, January 19-Sunday, January 25): Take a yoga, stretch, or mobility class
- Week 4 (Monday, January 26-Sunday, February 1): Run or Walk for 2 miles
- Week 5 (Monday, February 2-Sunday, February 8): Share the love of fitness by exercising with a friend or family member
- Week 6 (Monday, February 9-Sunday, February 15): Share the love of fitness by attending a class you love
- Week 7 (Monday, February 16-Sunday, February 22): Share the love of fitness by trying out a new class format (aqua, group ex, small group)
- Week 8 (Monday, February 23-Sunday, March 1): Share the love of fitness by showing up to your favorite instructor’s class and letting them know why you’re there
